PROJECT SHAMROCK Cracks the HALLOWEEN Code

Classic Halloween fans, we are SO back!!!

Jason Eisener, who most of us probably remember from Hobo with a Shotgun, may have just pulled off the impossible: fixing the continuity of the original Halloween franchise with a five-minute short film.

Now freely available on YouTube, Project Shamrock: The Secret Origins of Michael Myers Exposed feels like both a love letter to the franchise’s most divisive lore and a proof of concept for a potential return to the original timeline. Not only does it bridge Halloween III: Season of the Witch with the larger Michael Myers mythology, but it also uses that connection to reinforce the Cult of Thorn. And as if that weren’t enough, Eisener brings back the Man in Black and gives him a backstory worthy of that infamous cliffhanger where he breaks Myers out of jail!

Eisener hasn’t just untangled this convoluted mythology; he’s found a way to make it actually make sense, leaning into the bigger swings of the later sequels while using that mythology to reframe the origins of Michael Myers himself.

Hopefully, Blumhouse will be giving Jason a call soon, because I NEED this to be the next Halloween.

Big thanks to Scott Cole for sending this my way!
