The Cinapse AI Pledge

Cinapse uses no generative AI to create any of our writing.

Our pledge to our readers, and to one another, is that the writing on our site is generated by us, the human beings that make up the Cinapse team.

Contributors internally determined to have violated this policy will face corrective action including but not limited to removal of all published work, and revocation of publishing privileges.

In committing to a hard line against generative AI use, our intention is to guarantee honest human reactions to, and analysis of, human-made art. Our aim is not to avoid technological advancement, but to ensure humanity is kept front and center at every stage of our work. It’s a sense of artistic, critical, and ethical accountability we must hold ourselves to as much as the films we champion with our writing.

It is important to note that automated tools are used in the site backend for things like metadata and SEO ranking. These rote tasks are greatly aided by automation and allow our team to focus on delivering posts that are 100% human generated in subject line and body. Authors who prefer to write their own metadata can do so.
